More Flavor: Fashion Show RCA Fashion 2008

- Womenswear by Jonathan Penn, Photo: Claire Robertson and Webb/Utovka
The Royal College of Art — past alumni include Julien McDonald, Ossie Clark and those Emanuels — celebrates its 60th fashion show at Kensington Gore. New designers include Jonathan Penn, who, inspired by 1965 film Who Killed Teddy Bear, uses teddy-bear eyes as studs and teddy-bear fur as fabric; Abbie Shaw, who shows a whimsically cartoony, Technicolor collection and Eva Nip, whose marine-based millinery is all sails and boats. There are two shows; the earlier one focuses on catwalk collections and the later one comes with champagne and canapés.
