British-Palestinian artist Mona Hatoum's show at the Parasol Unit includes a decade's worth of work, giving viewers an opportunity to engage with the full range of her practice. One standout is Mobile Home II, an installation made from domestic items — furniture, toys, linen — that edge their way along suspended wires, giving the impression of a life on the perpetual move. Other works explore notions of violence and combat, such as the sculptures Misbah and Nature morte aux grenades, which respectively feature toy-soldier silhouettes and grenade-shaped crystals, and gesture toward the futility of war.
