British artist (and former Jade Jagger beau) Piers Jackson unveils Optica — a collection of works two years in the making — at newbie gallery T1 + 2. Jackson's first major solo exhibition, Optica features a series of canvas endeavours that draw inspiration from the sacred meanings behind geometric forms. The artist couples scientific precision with unbridled primitivism, layering shades of pink and gray with tactile gold leafing to create visually infinite three-dimensional shapes. The pieces simmer beneath their pristine surfaces, making for absorbing and meditative viewing.
