More Flavor: Festival Meltdown
-
- Massive Attack
It's not often that a festival attracts more attention for its curators than its performers, but that's long been the case with the Southbank's prestigious Meltdown fest. Past artists who have stepped up to the challenge include John Peel, David Bowie, Morrissey and Jarvis Cocker, but this year, for the first time, a group has been asked to curate. Hailed as the founders of trip-hop, Massive Attack's Robert del Naja and Daddy G are as renowned for their political antics as for their multidimensional careers. Their week-long schedule of films, installations and performances includes Yellow Magic Orchestra, Elbow, Grace Jones, Martina Topley-Bird, Terry Callier and Massive Attack themselves.
