Londoners hear plenty about graduate work in the fields of fashion, art and design, but architecture and engineering go virtually unmentioned. This show at the Dreamspace gallery helps right that injustice by exhibiting worthy projects from the Royal Institute of British Architects / Institute of Civil Engineers. Architects John McAslan + Partners, who support the exhibition, dedicate themselves to work that "improves people's lives," and the drawings, photographs and prototype models on display here reflect that pursuit. Highlights include Craig Bamford's venture to provide shade for Indian villagers and their precious saplings, and the One Year House, a shelter on the Burmese border that circumvents strict Thai planning restrictions on permanent structures in refugee camps.
