Music: Electronic Bumblebeez w/ James Ford

Hailing from New South Wales, Australia, Bumblebeez are brother and sister Chris and Pia Colonna. Though they've been playing for more than five years, it was only this past April that they released their debut LP, Prince Umberto & the Sister of Ill, courtesy Modular UK. The 17-track monster bombards listeners with more elements than a hadron collider, from the sleazy echo-pop of "Rio" to the skank-rock of "Freak Ya Loneliness." For tonight's showcase, expect even more bouncing hip-hop rolls, thuds, bubblegum synths and every guitar and vocal line imaginable. In support, producer/mentor James Ford of Simian Mobile Disco offers up some choice black-plate beats.
