Tonight, veteran US duo Atmosphere — aka rapper Slug and DJ/producer Ant, the backpacker's Fresh Prince and Jazzy Jeff — draw in a die-hard crowd of indie hip-hop heads with caustic intelligence and intensely personal rhymes. You'd think the two would be a little tired, having released more than ten albums in the last decade, but Atmosphere's sunny, cigarette-smokin' 2008 full-length, When Life Gives You Lemons You Paint That Shit Gold, shows that the musical maestros can still spit and spin for days, with energy and heart to spare.
