With an inspired approach to what could have easily descended into standard festival programming, the London Festival of Architecture kicks off with an opening celebration at Somerset House. Afterward, five site-specific pop-up centers open throughout the city and are individually dissected over as many weekends, in an active array of exhibitions, cycle tours, lectures, walks and installations — all of which focus on this year's theme, "fresh". From the Olympic-inspired developments at Stratford and Canary Wharf to the newly refurbished St Pancras station, the LFA is all about spotlighting novel approaches and up-and-coming talent.
