More Flavor: Festival City Showcase

New-music festival City Showcase returns for its sixth year with a plethora of gigs and workshops. Monday sees two music-industry talks at the Apple Store and evening performances by synth-rockers Midnight Juggernauts and South Africa's Parlotones, and Tuesday brings a podcasting tutorial, an acoustic showcase and XFM's Rock Night with When Gravity Fails. On Wednesday, '90s legends Bomb the Bass perform their first live show in 20 years, while Thursday hosts a classical concert in St Giles in the Fields, as well as an Indie Night set by Nashville eight-piece the Young Republic. Finally, Friday features two songwriting master classes during the day and unsigned "fringe acts" including the Perks and Rogue Satellites at night.
