Performing Arts: Spoken Word The B Club presents Books, Bands & Bellinis

Anything goes at the B Club — as long as it begins with "B", of course, meaning that bingo, bellinis and bands are all good for the bill. This bimonthly lit fest brings some much-needed glamour to the bookworm's calendar with a brimming bag of bohemian beguilements (ahem). Tonight, the goings-on are inspired by Beat-era New York, with Hubert Selby Jr's formerly banned classic, Last Exit to Brooklyn, under (optional) discussion in the book group. On the band front, there's George Demure and Men-An-Tol, while UEA grad Joe Dunthorne and poet Kyle Hugall do spoken word. With the Andaz Hotel as a backdrop, you couldn't be any further from the local library.
