More Flavor: Discussion The Best of Medicine

Four speakers put forward their nominations for the most astounding development in medical history, to be voted upon by the audience. In the first of two debates on the highs and lows of medicine at the Wellcome Collection, the medical bests could range from abortion to IVF. The speakers are Dr Raymond Tallis, a philosopher/poet and previously a consultant physician; Michael Worboys, the acclaimed writer on the history of medicine; Fiona Fox, founding director of the Science Media Centre, which has striven to build public trust in science; and Zoe Williams, Guardian columnist, commentator and self-described "left-wing feminist".
