Having exhibited in Ecuador, Cologne and Rome, Bettina Buck makes her London debut with Flexing Brown at the Rokeby Gallery. The German artist transforms the space with a veritable mêlée of sculpture, challenging viewers' perceptions of sight and imagination through investigations of the intangible. Her minimalist pieces bring together materials such as foam, carpet, latex and clay in an innovative re-visioning of both man-made and handcrafted materials, and their jarring juxtapositions tread a fine line between aesthetic offense and pleasure.
