More Flavor: Festival Carnival de Cuba

It's the end of a Cuban era, so celebrate the spirit of change at this weekend's Carnival de Cuba in Southwark Park. The music ranges from the more traditional timba sounds of Charanga Habanera to that of reggaeton aficionado Eminencia Clasica and Cuban street-poet Telmary, and this year's theme (Cuba's African roots) can be experienced in the free djembe drumming workshops and Yoruba dance classes. Of course, you can always just sit back and down a mojito or try a speciality cigar, but save a little energy for the conga procession, led by lively dance expert Guillermo Davis.
