Why throw your hard-earned pounds (and your precious vestiges of sanity) at delayed flights, lost luggage and wailing infants to head abroad when Tapas Fantasticas brings the Iberian spirit to your very doorstep? Hosted by Wines from Rioja, the street festival holds Brick Lane in its grip in the coming days, as chefs from Spanish restaurants whip up an array of tapas treats, all to be washed down with jugs of sangria. With flamenco dancers whirling throughout, as well as wine tastings and live music, the fest may be wildly chaotic, but, needless to say, it beats Terminal 5 by a long shot.
