More Flavor: Food/Wine Tudor Cookery
-
- Tudor kitchen
Vegetarians would be well-advised to steer clear of Hampton Court Palace's regular Tudor cookery sessions, in which all forms of meat are extravagantly flaunted — echoing a period when devouring flesh was considered a sign of wealth. Food archeologists from Historia whip up a tantalising feast in King Henry VII's kitchen, experimenting with traditional recipes, techniques and ingredients for dishes such as roast venison, pork pies and pottage. Your cravings can be then satisfied in the Tiltyard Cafe, where all are invited to indulge like royalty and devour the slap-up meals.
