Gavin Turk, Bob and Roberta Smith, Peter Blake — all sublime, but utterly unaffordable artists. But at the annual Vauxhall Art Car Boot Fair, you can at least buy some of their junk, and with one-off pieces created on the spot, you may only have to invest £5 to grab an "original" straight from their personalised car boots. Last year's event saw almost 6,000 people join in the thrifty fun at Brick Lane; this year promises a food market and entertainment by performers from the Bethnal Green Working Men's Club. Now all the organizers need is for Banksy to take part next year.
