The Sleeping Years is the solo project of Northern Irish singer/songwriter Dale Grundle, a man with plenty of industry experience — back in the '90s, he toured with Oasis and Pulp as the lead singer of now-defunct indie band Catchers. Grundle resurfaced last year with a couple of promising EPs, and tonight, he cuts the ribbon on his debut album, We're Becoming Islands One by One. The collection of haunting, mist-topped beauties for acoustic guitar, piano and voice (mostly self-performed) has been getting rave reviews just about everywhere — even winning over the fussy French — as the perfect kind of music to fall in love to.
