Burgh House & Hampstead Museum says…

Photographer Emilie Selbourne presents her debut solo exhibition, The Spirit of Hampstead Heath, on the walls of a most appropriate venue, the Grade I-listed Burgh House. Selbourne's colour landscapes of the Heath — a place at once familiar and mysterious — depict the nooks and crannies of the rambling moors, and all the flora, fauna and swan-filled ponds enclosed within. The timeless drama of the scenery captured by the work complements the 18th-century charm of the celebrated building, which has, over the years, been home to Rudyard Kipling's daughter, Elsie Bambridge, and art connoisseur Dr. George Williamson.
