Whether you fancy yourself a DH Lawrence or a Dr Seuss, Islington's Poetry Workshop offers constructive support for all budding bards. The monthly event's been around since the mid-'70s, acting as the breeding ground for such notables as Brit poetry magazine Angel Exhaust, while inviting all to bring their own poetry and other written endeavours. A receptive cluster of likeminded folk, led by Brian Docherty and Frances Presley, hash out the intricacies and proffer positive feedback on your work.
