Deadly People, the new label and management company set up by ex-Modular UK execs Phil Hutcheon and Kirsten Campbell, departs the dock in style tonight with an all-night launch party at the Papermill. Taking a break from touring with Band of Horses and the Black Kids, NYC four-piece the Virgins play a set of funky, stripped-down indie rock. The Atlantic-signed quartet is supported by the girl-led Sabbath-thrash of Invasion. Later on, genre-tarting party-starter Hervé, Portuguese kuduro kings Buraka Som Sistema and Aussie superstars Midnight Juggernauts fight over who's next on the decks.
