Music: Electronic Ratatat

Ratatat return to the UK stage to showcase their recently released third album, LP3, recorded over the course of 40 days at Old Soul Studios in Catskill, New York. The NYC-based group, composed of guitarist Mike Stroud and synthman/producer Evan Mast, employs a formula that has worked for it before, building instrumental songs from intricate electric-guitar lines interlaced with digital beats. The band's dynamic, high-energy repertoire is the result of layering distorted riffs on top of crisp percussion, both wrapped in ambient washes of crackling noise and spaced-out synth sounds.
