Superhero satirist Ben Turnbull's debut show back in January 2007 was thought by some to be overly brash and lacking in subtlety. His new exhibition, A Nightmare on Greek Street, is just as provocative and gaudy, but to accuse this political artist — who repurposes toy figurines to skewer US imperialism — of being one-dimensional is to miss the point. Works like Bring me the head of Saddam Hussein (Captain America clutching a perfectly painted decapitation) say as much about war's discourse and our own participation in it (reluctant or otherwise) as they do about the ins and outs of propaganda.
