For an evening of spitfire improvisation, spot-on character pieces and witty tunes, artsdepot present Phil Nichol as part of North to North Fest. The award-winning Nichol — Scotland-born and Canada-raised — takes the stage armed with little more than guitar and a weird, wild wit. Having risen to notoriety as a member of satirical pop trio Corky and the Juice Pigs (known to offer such musical gems as "Eskimo", about a lonely gay Inuit), Nichol now unapologetically throws out bizarre choruses for anyone game enough to listen.
