A colossal two-part display of freshly plucked talent, New Designers 2008 invites more than 4,000 graduates to invade Islington's Business Design Centre with their wares. Over the coming days, a veritable feast of contemporary art, ceramics, fashion, metalworks and jewellery is spread out, with the following week taking in industrial and spatial design, photography, illustration and graphic design. The event is further embellished with lectures to appeal to both punter and participant, with Design Nation, Crafts Council and Bombay Sapphire riffing on topics from vision and inspiration to moulds and how best to unequivocally smash through them.
