- Deptford is on board the LDA's Creative Industry Hub Initiative, which has seen the area promote its fresh creative talents and transform into a lively cultural quarter over recent years. Join the party in SE8 this weekend at the Made in Deptford summer festival, as galleries and artists' studios open their doors to the public, while performers — including the three winning bands from Gravity Guide's competition — take to the stage. Try your hand at graffiti workshops and open-mic sessions, or take part in the High Street procession, where community groups astound in flamboyant costumes inspired by the local maritime history. – Helen Holtom
