It's the end of the world as they know it over at Union Gallery, where Tonight Forget About Your Houses and Cars is currently on display. The group exhibition features a host of catastrophy-motivated artists working in various mediums who deconstruct our universal fascination with misfortune. Shinichi Hara, Matt O'Dell, Justin Lieberman, Neil Hamon and Ahmed Alsoudani explore the media's role in proliferating impending doom and gloom, terrorism and the war in Iraq. Through marble sculptures, paintings and narrative, the artists reveal tragedy's place within our collective consciousness.
