Artist Richard Prince, currently exhibiting at the Serpentine, has chosen two films that explore rebellion and speed. Tonight's double feature opens with Peter Yates' influential police thriller Bullitt. Starring the inimitable Steve McQueen, the film is best known for a car-chase scene through San Francisco that is wild enough to secure the film a place in cinema history. The night closes with Claude Lelouch's nine-minute guerrilla film Rendezvous, in which the director drives through the streets of Paris at high speeds, capturing the journey in one take and with nary a filming permit. Both movies are screened in Frank Gehry's open-air pavilion.
