More Flavor: Spectacle Artist in Action

Many artists prefer to practise their craft in solitude, but Jon Hicks makes a point of creating his works in public places, so that the painting process is turned into performance art. The self-styled "International Man of Artistry" began as a humble pavement artist, but now traffics in large-scale outdoor landscapes that often feature London landmarks. Today, as part of the National Theatre's Watch This Space festival, Hicks paints the capital's skyline during the course of a single afternoon.
