Art David Blandy: Duels and Dualities

Sinophile and underground artist David Blandy fleshes out his fascination with combat in his upbeat exhibition. Joyously mixing imagery from kung-fu films, arcade fighting games and comics, Blandy investigates pop culture's power over bona fide art forms. In Blandy's artificial realm, stickers and posters fuse with films and arcade simulations, while dub-reggae pioneers Manasseh Sound System fill out the event's musical portion, integrating artfully decorated speaker cabinets and presenting a new remix of the soundtrack from Blandy's Samurai Story film.
