As famous for his outlandish lifestyle as for his often disturbing paintings, Francis Bacon spent most of his career in the capital, at his infamous Reece Mews studio. This retrospective unites his most important pieces — from triptychs such as Three Studies for Figures at the Base of a Crucifixion to his distorted portraits, including those of artist Isabel Rawsthorne and the Pope.
