176 presents seven artists whose works, in varying ways, draw the viewer into an immersive sensory experience. Look out for Mark Titchner's impressive installation, When We Build Let Us Think That We Build Forever, in which videos of the iconic Tate Modern building are played against a backdrop of slogans while mesmeric music fills the space. Laura Buckley also employs projection and movement in her installations, which are comprised of found materials such as plywood and Perspex. The pieces are exhibited in the imposing former Methodist church where 176 is housed, an environment that Graham Hudson has responded to in a new artwork for the show.
