Singled out by critics and collectors alike, Dan Baldwin's work stretches across a range of media and inspirations. Baldwin juxtaposes an enticing array of visual history — from street art and fairytale characters to the skulls that preoccupied 17th-century vanitas painters fixated on mortality. Denying any line between popular culture and fine art, his magical and morbid works combine paint, print and the layering technique of appliqué. Ceramics and installations are also on show Baldwin's only UK-based exhibition this year.
