Taking place between Westminster Bridge and Tower Bridge, the Thames Festival celebrates London's world-famous river. Beginning Saturday, Southwark Bridge is closed to traffic to host the Feast on the Bridge, with tables and food laid out for an all-day Harvest Festival banquet, which includes soup cooked from pumpkins entered into the Pumpkin Growing Competition. On Sunday, a thousand-voice choir gathers at More London's Scoop to perform songs from around the world to benefit charity WaterAid. Bringing festivities to a dazzling close, a 50m-long Chinese dragon leads lantern-bearing masqueraders along the Embankment for the Night Carnival.
