The newly opened Jones Hotel has set about re-creating the once-popular aristocratic pursuit of collecting exotic animals. But this is a menagerie with a twist: instead of tigers and peacocks roaming among hotel guests, pieces of cutting-edge, animal-inspired design are artfully placed around the hotel's opulent interiors. Look out for Swedish design collective Front's famous horse lamp and London-based Julia Lohmann's reclining cow benches and lampshades made from animal intestines. Exhibits on show range from life-size farmyard animals to miniature porcelain statuettes, promising a Noah's ark of design.
