Singer/songwriter Mark Kozelek brings his current band Sun Kil Moon to the Scala for a night of solemnly melancholic folk music. Probably best known for his role as frontman in the critically revered Red House Painters, Kozelek has crafted some of the most beautifully sorrowful songs around. Sounding like Nick Drake on a particularly dark day, he combines dolorous, intricate guitar melodies with intensely personal lyrics. He ranks high in the pantheon of those who feel low.
