Embankment Galleries says…

The theme of this installation at Somerset House is the optimistic fusion of modern art and design as a medium for social experimentation. Besides displaying the work of ten contemporaries — including a performance-driven installation in the MacGuffin Library by Onkar Kular and Noam Toran — the exhibition also features a series of talks on the parallels between the two fields. Curators Katya Garcia-Anton and Emily King's subversive approach is exemplified in the one-week residence project Cocoon, where Korean artist Chosil Kil explores the anxiety of being a foreigner in London by building a shelter from found material.
