For those aping to participate in a charity race this season, the Great Gorilla Run is at the top of our list. The quirky take on the standard fun-run provides gorilla costumes to all runners prior to the big day — allowing for personalised touches such as tutus and the like — all to benefit the fast-dwindling species in Africa. Following the 7km run through central London, an after-party offers banana juice to all. And, if running around in a furry suit isn't your bag, simply take in the sheer spectacle of a barrage of knuckle-dragging primates charging across Tower Bridge.
