With three years of successful craft-and-music nights under their macramé belts, the team behind East London’s inaugural Hungamunga two-dayer pledge the vegan food and top-notch music of a festival without any of that grubby camping stuff on the side. Making a mess indoors, however, is actively encouraged, as creatively inclined types enjoy a host of crafty pursuits alongside cabaret, performance art and the odd home-made scone. With musical inspiration provided by the likes of Nizlopi, Stanley Brinks and Lucy and the Caterpillar, and comedic turns from the ever-happy Josie Long, this simple-pleasures event spread across two Bethnal Green venues promises to be one of the friendliest ways to spend a weekend.
