Riflemaker's new show pays homage to enhanced and skewed processes of creativity, looking to artists inspired by voodoo, religious orders, mind-altering substances and mania. Sigmar Polke's "art of natural forces" bristles with energy, while the works of surrealists Max Ernst and Paul Delvaux reveal the processes of the inner mind. Photographs by Sebastião Salgado capture the rites of voodoo, and a soundtrack featuring Muddy Waters' "Hoochie Coochie Man" heightens the atmosphere.
