From Kabul to Kandahar 1833 -1933 is jointly curated by the Royal Geographical Society, the Afghan Association of London, Brondesbury College for Boys and members of London's Afghan community. The exhibition includes photographs, drawings, lithographs, historic travel journals and maps from the Society's vast collection that paint a picture of life in Afghanistan during the late-19th and early-20th centuries. Among the picks are scenes of Kabul's marketplaces in 1842 and the ruins of Kandahar after the second Anglo-Afghan war of 1878-80.
