Ukulele Wednesdays
Lorraine Hardman of the London-based ukulele-karaoke collective Karauke leads this weekly jam session at the Royal George. Drawing influence from the inimitable Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain, attendees re-interpret classic tracks such as "Livin' on a Prayer" and "500 Miles" in unique uke fashion. Sheet music is available to download prior to each gathering and, in keeping with the non-elitist aesthetic, other types of instrument are accepted — up to a strict maximum of two per session. It is Ukulele Wednesdays, after all.
