The five-day Alternative Press Festival celebrates small publishing in various venues around London. Events commence Wednesday with the launch of Publish You..., an anthology dedicated to the radical press scene, featuring work by Mark Pawson. On Thursday evening, Are You Zine Friendly? at the Foundry in Shoreditch showcases zine writers' creations, Friday sees the Griffin in Leonard Street overrun by poets for a Spoken Word Night Out! while on Saturday proceedings move south of the river for Collaborama, an all-day indie-print extravaganza. The festival concludes on Sunday with the Alternative Press Fair, a comix-fest featuring more than 80 exhibitors.
