“Kenneth Anger protégé Brian Butler has produced several of the renowned occultist filmmaker's most recent works, and is responsible for bringing the octogenarian auteur out from obscurity and into the public eye. Now, Butler brings his own short, Night of Pan, to the Horse Hospital for its London premiere. Starring Vincent Gallo as the eponymous god, the film also features a demonic Twiggy Ramirez (bassist for Marilyn Manson) and Anger himself, sporting a real-life "Lucifer" tattoo emblazoned across his chest. Filmmaker, musician and artist Butler presides over the Thelemic ritual of "ego death and spiritual attainment," imbuing the lush, spellbinding cinematic gem with hauntingly magical attributes. Butler also delivers a live projected sound performance alongside Richard Fearless of Death In Vegas.”
