Australian photographer and filmmaker Stephen Dupont's show at Jack Bell Gallery documents changes in Papua New Guinea over a six-year period. The title hints at the exhibition's juxtaposition of modern versus traditional and urban against rural; PNG is a country with a huge number of diverse cultures. Raskols (from the English rascal) are criminal gangs based in the city, while a sing-sing is a gathering where tribes share music and dance. The silver gelatin prints are realised using Polaroid 665 film, lending them a slightly aged, imperfect feel that reflects the changing times of the country.
