Like some kind of trans-temporal mashup of the Factory, Anna Wintour's Vogue, Ab-Fab and Surrealist parlour games, the Paper Eaters (artists Andrea Blood and Zoë Sinclair) occupy and transform the Ultralounge at Selfridge's into a fully functioning photo-magazine production bunker. Naturally, in this case "fully functioning" means not only hosting the equipment required to manually produce three issues of their DIY glossy, but (this being an homage to the '80s-era glory days of fashion rags) also a dry-ice disco and makeover staff. Employees, passers-by and open-minded art and fashion world guests are all invited to participate as models, story editors or go-go dancers.
