By all accounts, each of us is captured on CCTV around ten million times a day (or something) as we walk about, just minding our business. So this major new exhibition at the Tate is a timely one, examining the role of the "unseen photographer". Included are pictures by both amateur and press snappers: arresting images from the JFK assassination, paparazzi shots of Paris Hilton being taken to prison and even revealing images from the protest frontlines taken on mobile phones. Guy Bourdin, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Walker Evans and Lee Miller are among the featured artists watching the watchers.
