“LA-based photographer Tyler Shields transcends the film industry's superficial glitz and glam in this new exhibition at Imitate Modern, revealing a far more complicated side of Tinseltown through a characteristically unconventional lens. Whether he's snapping portraits of a bloody, knife-wielding Lindsay Lohan, or capturing Mischa Barton biting raw meat, Tyler Shields takes big risks with his subjects, delivering pictures that are both unexpected and thought-provoking. The inspiration behind the photographer's most recent images comes from his romantic relationship with Francesca Eastwood, daughter of Hollywood icon Clint Eastwood.”
