Art: Photography Julius Shulman's Los Angeles

Julius Shulman has done more for the way California modernist architecture is seen and appreciated than probably anyone else — and he's also shot some dope stills. One hundred and fifty of his rarest images lounge rakishly in the Central's Getty Gallery, just waiting to confess their angles on the heyday of nostalgic, grayscale cantilevering in seven photographic narratives. Sound abstract? It's, well, a visionary thing.
