The life of a musician is hard, but few artists share the struggles of Coby Brown. The Boston indie singer/songwriter (now based in LA) has spent the past few years battling Ewing's Sarcoma, a rare form of cancer. His latest opus, Time Is Now, made in the throes of chemo's debilitating effects, could have been a Debbie Downer affair. Instead, the record, filled with unforgettable hooks, soaring vocals, and a spirit of resilience, celebrates the sweet now. The now cancer-free Brown performs tonight with his band, the 11:11's, along with Quincy Coleman and Brandi Shearer.
