Montreal-based choreographers Bill Coleman and Laurence Lemieux introduce their company to Los Angeles, presenting a program highlighting the work of former National Ballet of Canada choreographer James Kudelka. Bypassing his neo-classical roots, Kudelka explores a modern idiom of complex and witty partnerings among the company's young, finely trained dancers. Of particular note in this evening's program is Fifteen Heterosexual Duets, which was received to great acclaim at the NewYork City Center's recent Fall for Dance Festival.
